For nearly 20 years, I’ve been at the center of major initiatives at Stanford—leading technology transformations, streamlining operations, and helping leaders drive change. I work across teams and leadership levels to align strategy, execution, and communication, which naturally translates into my work coaching executives. I’ve managed up, across, and down, building strong relationships and driving high-impact initiatives.

But my journey isn’t just about career wins — it’s about resilience.
When my sister lost her husband in 9/11, I stepped away from my career for five years to help her rebuild. When my brother faced a crisis in 2020, I put everything on hold to support him for over eight months. And when I set out to earn my ICF coaching certification, it took six years — but I saw it through. In my native Korean, there’s a word for this kind of relentless determination & tenacity: Ak-Chak. My siblings joke, “Once Kim Hee Jung (my Korean name) sets her mind to something, there’s no stopping her.”
That same tenacity, strategy, and all-in commitment is what I bring to my coaching.
